Whether you are a pilgrim in Poland or Paraguay, Germany or Greenland, Thailand or here in the Texas Hill Country, you understand how important integration is in our walk with Jesus.
There are times we walk alone on the narrow path.
Then we stop… gather and edify one another.
And then we move on again. This is the "pilgrim's way."
Eventually, we find ourselves back on a quiet bench—reflecting, integrating, letting the journey settle in.
That’s where I am today.
Maybe it’s where you are too.
I look out and reflect on the madness in the world. There’s no escaping it. Human nature… celebrating its dark side… and putting on sunglasses to block out His light.
But at the same time, I feel something else.
Love, Joy, and Peace.
A steady assurance from the Holy Spirit that all is well.
And I realize—maybe we are the ones who need the sunglasses.
Better yet… blinders!
Not to ignore reality, but to guard what we allow into our minds and hearts. There are some things we can’t unsee, so we need discernment about what we choose to see.
Even as I sit here, people pass by. Some seem to call for my attention, as if the world is offering its invitation:
“Come with us.”
No, thank you.
I’ve walked that path before.
So today, I simply observe—people, places, and things—like clouds passing across the sky.
No attachment or pull from the dark side.
Just observation.
And now it’s time to rise.
Time to return to the narrow path and press on, one step after the next...
See you on the trail.
